WWE RAW star and the former two times WWE World Champion Bobby Lashley who is also a former four times TNA World Heavyweight Champion recently talked about the current WWE RAW roster and explained why he liked it.
Since returning to WWE Bobby Lashley has been vastly treated as a mid card. He mostly focused on the mid card championships of the WWE. However in his first WWE Run he became a top star of the promotion very soon. But in the second run, it did not look like it would be given another main event run.
Bobby Lashley Explains What Makes WWE RAW Roster Really Great
But he got his main event status back earlier last year when he got to face The Miz for the WWE championship. He defeated the A Lister to win his first WWE Championship ending his eight days reign as the WWE champion. This win marked his reign of dominance.
He had a WWE Championship reign of over 5 months and in these five months he defeated some of the big names in the WWE today including the likes of Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston. He also walked into the WrestleMania 37 WWE champion and defended it successfully.
But at September he dropped the title to Big E. And after that he jobbed to the new WWE champion for a number of matches. He also jobbed to Goldberg at the Saudi. The way he jobbed to these two wrestlers It looked like he is not going to get his main event push back anytime soon.
But he did get his push back just after returning from his feud against Goldberg. He defeated all the big men of Monday Night RAW and at Royal Rumble he defeated Brock Lesnar to become the WWE champion for the second time. He lost the title at the Elimination Chamber pay per view event even though he never lost the match. He got injured the during the match and had to be dropped from the match.
After that he had a feud with the Nigerian giant Omos and he won the feud successfully. Right now he is involved in a feud with Theory for the WWE United States Championship. At Money in the Bank he defeated Theory to win his third WWE United States Championship. He dropped the title to Seth Rollins recently on Monday Night RAW.
Bobby Lashley who is also a former four times TNA World Heavyweight Champion recently spoke to Busted Open Radio where he talked about the current WWE RAW roster and explained why he liked it. He said;
“There are a lot of people in that position. I love our roster right now. That’s what made me excited about winning the United States Title. I had Ali. He’s a guy who has been overlooked a little bit, but he is phenomenal. Great wrestler, great mind in the business, and he’s hungry. Every day when I come in, he has different ideas, ‘I want to do this, I want to do this.
“So you have him, you have Riddle, who is on fire right now. Seth Rollins, he’s Seth Freakin’ Rollins, he’s great across the board. Some of my closest friends, even favorites, the Hurt Business. MVP is there with Omos. Shelton Benjamin is still doing his stuff. Cedric is there.
“I’d like to bring that group back together at some point in time. There are so many highly talented people on there, from Chad Gable, Otis, and I don’t want to leave out any names because there are so many people. Edge, Rey Mysterio, his son [Dominik Mysterio]. There’s so many talented people. We’re all the faces [of Raw]. I’m one of the prominent figures on it, but there are so many people you could say are the face of Raw, it depends on how you’re looking at it.”
