Stable based wrestling is very rare in today’s WWE, however, it was one of the most common things to see during the Attitude Era and it was of course one of the biggest attractions of the time. Stable based wrestling is really very interesting to see.

WWE RAW – Bobby Lashley Talks Hurt Business Reunion
That is one thing that the AEW is trying to build right now. Apart from the Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Vince McMahon rivalry, strong stables are also a reason behind the success of the Attitude Era. Even WCW when they were leading the Monday Night Wars, nWo played the biggest role behind their success.
But for some reason WWE decided to drop the stable based wrestling concept. This is one of the biggest reason why WWE is not being able to make steady rivalries. Like wrestler vs authority feuds, table based wrestling is also a very interesting thing that keeps the fans engaged towards a professional wrestling show. Of course there were a number of stables every now and then but WWE never took them seriously. And the stranger part is whenever is table get a little popular WWE decided to break them.
What are the major examples of this incident is the Hurt Business. It was a stable which consisted four wrestlers, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander and of course The Almighty Bobby Lashley.

It was getting quite popular during its prime time. But strangely enough when it was on its peak WWE decided to break it. Finally WWE has decided to reunite all four men once again, but honestly it does not seem that special anymore how it used to be before.
Bobby Lashley who is also a former two times WWE United States Champion recently spoke to Talksport where he talked about the Hurt Business. The 45 year old professional wrestler reflected on the reunion of his stable. He said;
“We just need to have a little group discussion. Before, when the group first formed, We went and had meals and drinks after every show at a local bar. Strategizing over chicken wings and a beer. To me, that was some of the best times of my career. Because these guys are actually my friends.

“I like these guys, I want to be around these guys, I talk to these guys. I want us to be successful and together. The crowd felt it, knew it was real and really behind it. Have you got a brother or sister? A lot of the time when you have brothers, you have fights and you’re so mad, but the next thing you know, you’re back hanging and playing. Nobody asks ‘How did you guys get back together!’ It’s just like that.
“I have friends that I consider my brothers. The Boogeyman is one of those – really hope he comes back sometime. He and I will fight like ‘man, I don’t want to talk to you!’ we go off in a rage. Next day it’s like ‘hey man, you ready to go work out? Yeah, f*** you too’ [laughs] then we go work out! So it’s kind of the same thing; brothers have little arguments and that, but we get back together.”
