Sixteen years of hard work and determination finally paid off for Bobby Lashley on last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw. He is the new WWE Champion after overcoming The Miz in the main event match. That being said, we have now received another new WWE title-holder within a gap of just eight days. It is certain that the title alterations are going to make a huge impact on the road to Wrestlemania 37 in a major way.

As seen on Raw, Bobby Lashley vs The Miz was originally set to go down by the end of the first hour of RAW. But Miz said that he was unable to perform as he was feeling sick. Shane McMahon and Adam Pearce then ordered the match to restart at the beginning of the third hour, but this time around, Miz ended up getting himself counted out and escape the situation.

Shane McMahon then threatened Miz to strip him of the WWE Title and give the strap to Bobby Lashley if he didn’t defend in the main event. Shane then made this a Lumberjack Match with the superstars from the RAW roster standing at ringside to make sure that Miz doesn’t escape the ring, once more. The challenger took advantage of the situation and sent Miz for a beatdown by the Lumberjacks.

As he returned to the ring, Bobby Lashley applied the Full Nelson aka the Hurt Lock on The Miz to get the easy submission win. With this, The All-Mighty has just begun the first WWE Title reign of his career. The Miz won the title last Sunday at the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view by cashing in his Money In the Bank contract on Drew McIntyre.
