Booker T Believes AEW Should Not Sign Talents Without A Proper Plan
But it is feeling like AEW is signing whatever talent they are getting and who ever WWE releases. They have already signed some of the name that have been released by WWE and their rumoured to be trying to sign more of the released WWE stars. They are definitely giving a good opportunity to the winning stars but how good it would be for AEW?
Among the recently released WWE stars, Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt are rumoured to be joining AEW soon. Bobby fish who is the latest WWE star to get released is also rumoured to join AEW soon. BUT if they keep siging whichever talent the get their roster will be overcrowded soon.
Booker T who is a two times WWE Hall of Famer recently spoke on his Hall of Fame podcast where he said that AEW should not sign whatever talent the get and they should only sign talents with a proper plan. He said;

“I don’t know if he’s going to be a free agent or anything like that, but I can’t sit here and say, ‘He wants out.’ I know Adam Cole worked his a*s off for a lot of years to get to WWE. I do know that.
“I don’t think you should be too aggressive to go out of your way to just try to sign talent. I think you have to be thinking about the direction and the infrastructure of your show in order to be successful. The only reason why I say that is because I was a part of WCW.

“I saw guys sitting at home that were making $250,000 a year, and they didn’t work more than six matches a year. They were in no angles, no programs, or anything. For me to have guys sitting on the roster is not the route I want to go.
“ I know they are starting this new show, Rampage. I need everybody’s a*s working, no days off. I need to build my talent roster, that way if Adam Cole were to become a free agent, can I use him on my team?
“Of course I could, but am I aggressively going to go after Adam Cole and say, ‘Hey, I have a 2 million dollar contract for you, just sign?’ I’m not going to go that route unless I want to be the next WCW.”
