Professional wrestling legend and two times WWE Hall of Famer Booker T who is a former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion and a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion recently talked about the unification of the WWE Tag Team titles. He did not like the idea of the unification.
The Tag Team Championships are not the only titles that are getting unified. WWE is now unifying all those title that were separated based on brands. Right now they are ending the brand split. Once again there will be one single roster like the Attitude Era. SmackDown will just be a continuation of Monday Night RAW.

Booker T Does Not Like The Idea Of Unifying Tag Team Titles
The story of unification began at WrestleMania 38 when the two World championships got unified and Roman Reigns became the unified WWE Universal champion. The story continued with the Tag Team Championship which recently got unified Indian episode of Smackdown. Surely the Women’s championships will be unified soon as well.
Ending the brand split is clearly a case of lazy booking. But we believe it will be a good thing since WWE is already failing to book good storylines and feud since last couple of years. Ending the brand split can create opportunities for a lot of stars, including a steady booking option for the lower mid card.

The lower mid card was one of the biggest attractions of WWE during the Attitude Era. The European championship was one of the biggest attractions of the time which defined the lower mid card. It looks like that the Intercontinental championship will become the lower mid card title after the end of brand split. But there is a scare of unifying this title with the United States Championship as well. We hope that never happens.
Booker T who is a former five times WCW World Heavyweight recently spoke on his Hall Of Fame podcast where he talked about the unification of the WWE Tag Team titles. He did not like the idea of the unification. He said;

“I like having at least two tag team belts, one Smackdown, one Raw. You may not understand what that does to the body of guys trying to do that, but they’re going to have to defend those championships on the house shows, European tours, Monday night, Friday night, and put those guys in position where they got to work all week long.”
“I’m thinking about protecting myself and making sure I can have a minute with my family. To have to defend the Tag Team Championship all the time, those guys aren’t going to have no time at home.”
“I’m going to tell you that right now. They’re going to have about one day at home to prepare and one day to get ready to get back on the road.”
