Professional wrestling legend and two time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T who is a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and a former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion recently talked about the WWE departure of Cesaro and lamented about it.
He worked in WWE for over a decade and he was considered as one of the most talented wrestlers of the roster throughout his time. But he has also been considered as one of the most underrated wrestler of WWE ever. He has never been pushed as a consistent main eventer in WWE in spite of being one of the most talented and versatile wrestlers of the roster.

Booker T Laments On The WWE Departure Of Cesaro
WWE did try to push him as a main eventer for a number of times during his WWE career but it did not work out very well. Recently, WWE gave a try to push him as a main event star. He defeated Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 37. On the very next pay per view event he faced Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship.
And that was it for him. WWE stopped using him as a main event star, in fact he was demoted to a jobber for apparently no reason. This had been his worst condition in WWE ever. Recently the news came out that WWE has decided to release him. It was not a very shocking news, but it was difficult to digest that WWE failed to utilise such a talented wrestler.

Booker T who is a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and a former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion recently spoke his Hall Of Fame podcast where he talked about the WWE departure of Cesaro and lamented about it. He said;
“Cesaro is one of my favorite people, not was, is one of my favorite people. He’s a guy that I always could talk to, a guy that I could always ask something. Ask him to do something, he would always do it. Just like, I needed a clip for the indies with Booker T, Cesaro didn’t want to stop talking. He just wanted to keep talking. That’s what kind of dude he is.
“I do know this as far being in WWE, this guy has always played his role, whatever role that may be, ‘give it to me, I’m going to get it done.’ I don’t remember hearing any complaints from Cesaro, or about Cesaro. He was just a guy that came to work, put his hard hat on, and went to work.”

“I wish Cesaro would have got much further in WWE, I think he was a guy that definitely could have played a much bigger role. I remember the crowd being totally on Cesaro’s side at one point. To where, man, you could tell they wanted him in that position as well.”
“One thing I always say about talent is, ‘cream rises to the top.’ And I think Cesaro is going to find a soft landing. Because he’s a guy that is going to be highly sought now since he’s a free agent. So, big ups to Cesaro for making a move that perhaps he felt like he needed to do.”
