Booker T who is a two times WWE Hall of Famer recently shared massive praise for the Beast Incarnate Broke Lesnar and expressed his desire to see him getting awarded the “Worker of the Year” award for 2023. The former 10 times World Champion has worked in multiple top matches this year so far and all of them had great significance.
The best and the most important feud that he worked on in 2023 was against The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes. This legendary duo had a series of three amazing matches and the feud was ultimately won by the winner of the men’s Royal Rumble match of 2023. This will go down as one of the best rivalries of 2023.

Cody Rhodes seriously needed this big push before maintaining his main event status in WWE. Even after sharing the Ring with Roman Reigns on the main event of WrestleMania 39, people kept on doubting him. Brock Lesnar did and amazing job to lift him. Speaking on the latest episode of his Hall of Fame Podcast, two times WWE Hall of Famer Booker T said;
“It was a great match because it didn’t have a whole lot of jumping off or anything. It was just two guys going out there, fisticuffs fighting. The storytelling was really, really awesome. The Rocky Balboa vs. The Russian came in there for a moment. That ‘never say die’ Rocky attitude. ‘You can just beat on me and beat on me and I’m gonna find a way to win.’ It was poetic, it was great.”
Booker T Shares Massive Praise For Brock Lesnar
“It was one of those matches that every guy on the card, if they’re wondering what it means to work at a main event level, look at that match and it will tell you everything you need to know. Because wrestling is the art of going out and creating the illusion of a real fight. Those guys, they did that for me. When Cody hit him with the three Cross Rhodes at the end, you thought Brock may kick out. But when he stayed down, you weren’t surprised either. Those kinds of stories never die.”
“And Brock Lesnar, what a worker. What a damn worker. Brock should get the award of the year, worker of the year, as far as I’m concerned. That’s how good he really made that match on Saturday night.” concluded the former five times WCW World Heavyweight Champion.
At Summerslam, Brock Lesnar did something that he never did in his two decade long WWE career. He paid homage to Cody Rhodes after his defeat by the hands of him. Cody earned a clean pin fall win over Lesnar at the event. But there is an unfortunate rumour for his fans, it is happily rumoured that he might not appear in WWE before 2024.
