Professional wrestling legend and two times WWE Hall of Famer Booker T who is also a former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion and a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion recently praised the former WWE Universal Heavyweight champion Kevin Owens and called him one of the best in the world right now.
Kevin Owens is definitely one of the best workers in the world of professional wrestling right now. He is just a perfect professional wrestler who has amazing professional wrestling skills and excellent mic skills as well. Without any doubt he is one of the biggest attractions of WWE right now.
Booker T Praises Kevin Owens, Calls Him One Of The Best Right Now
Owens is in WWE since 2014 and before that he has won in different professional wrestling promotions including the likes of the Ring Of Honor. He has won multiple championships outside of WWE before joining the promotion including the ROH World Championship. He came to WWE with really high potential.
He spent one year in the NXT before joining the main roster in 2015 and he instantly made an impact after he defeated John Cena clean. In August 2016 he won his first and only World championship in WWE and that was the WWE Universal Championship. After dropping the title in March 2017 he could never regain the World Championship ever again in WWE which is quite unfortunate.
Recently he faced Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38 in an epic match. He created history in this event and it is believed to be the last match of Steve Austin. It is being reported that he would be pushed as a main event star once again very soon. He has the potential to run as the face of WWE and hopefully, we will get to see him in this role very soon.
Booker T who is also a former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion and a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion recently spoke on Hall Of Fame podcast where he praised the former WWE Universal Heavyweight champion Kevin Owens and called him one of the best in the world right now. He said;
“Kevin Owens man, he deserves an Oscar for the work that he put in on that night. Seriously. Kevin Owens, and I’ve said it for a long time now that he is one of the best guys on the roster. He is what professional wrestling is. He is what a professional wrestler does.”
“When I watched the beginning of that thing, and I don’t want to give any of our tricks away or anything like that, but when I watched the beginning of that match, I just watched the magic of Kevin Owens. Stone Cold Steve Austin definitely played his part. He played his part very, very well. But for me, if I was coming back to do a match, it definitely would be a guy like Kevin Owens or a guy like Seth Rollins.”
“I need one of those types of guys that knows what this business truly is. I can’t speak highly enough about that veteran Kevin Owens going out there and taking care of business the way he did and Stone Cold Steve Austin for sucking it up and giving that crowd in Dallas, Texas where he started his career. He went out there and did it like a champ and I commend him for it.”
