Brandi Rhodes has made a name for herself in the professional wrestling industry following in the footsteps of her husband, Cody Rhodes. Just a few months ago, the latter returned to the WWE to create the best moment of the year, so far. This, in turn, obviously started the rumors of his wife also possibly moving into the WWE.
Previously, Brandi Rhodes used to be paired with her husband Cody as a valet, competitor, and also an executive during the early days of AEW. Prior to that, she also worked as a ring announcer in the WWE under the name of Eden Stills. This was the time that she got into a relationship with Cody. After a much-needed time off from having a child, she is looking forward to getting back in the ring.
Will Cody Rhodes’ WWE Return Be Affected By Triple H’s Creative Role?
PWInsider has recently confirmed that Brandi Rhodes recently wrestled at a closed event at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. It’s unknown who she competed against and why she was there. But it was noted that she was not there just for a visit,
“Rhodes wrestled during an in-house live event inside the WWE Performance Center. WWE NXT regularly holds live cards on Fridays to give developmental talents a chance to perform and improve.
PWInsider.com confirmed Rhodes worked in the ring but not the match she was involves in. Rhodes is not currently listed internally on the WWE NXT roster.”
Brandi Rhodes is yet to become a WWE Superstar
Sean Sapp revealed more details about the situation behind Fightful’s paywall citing that she definitely worked a match against an unknown opponent. At this point, she’s not a WWE Superstar given no such deal between the two parties has been signed in. But given that her husband has fitted well in the WWE since his return, it only seems a matter of time before Brandi Rhodes will also find her way to WWE TV,
“Brandi Rhodes was at the WWE Performance Center recently. While we haven’t heard that she’s signed any deal with the company one way or another, it wasn’t simply for a visit. We’re told that Brandi competed in a match at a PC Live event. We don’t have details on who she faced, but it was said to have been a “newer talent,” though we’re working to confirm that.”
We haven’t seen Brandi Rhodes in action since the January 31 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation where she defeated KiLynn King. Moving on in February, she and her husband Cody Rhodes left AEW. Cody used to hold the role of an Executive Vice President in the company while her better half was the Chief Brand Officer.
Soon after the departure, Cody arrived in the WWE and went on to become a top babyface figure on Monday Night Raw. As for Brandi Rhodes, she continued to wrestle at the Nightmare Factory, a pro-wrestling training center run by Cody and AEW star QT Marshall.
