Grayson Waller joined the main roster of WWE during the WWE draft that took place on April and May earlier this year. Before joining the main roster he worked on the NXT for 2 years where he had been ready successful. It is reported that WWE has big plans for the Aussie professional wrestler on the main roster.
In spite of being quite successful in the NXT, he did not get to win any championship in the brand even after spending two long years. Waller, however, is not much bothered about not getting to win any Championship in the NXT. Recently he said if he would want to win any Championship, that would be a WWE main roster title and not a NXT title.
Breaking: Grayson Waller Insults NXT And Said He Did Not Need An NXT Title
It was actually a big insult to the NXT that in spite of being a top star of the promotion he did not care about winning any Championship from it and he cared more of winning main roster Championships. Speaking with Ryan Satin on his Out of Character Podcast, he made his mind clear when he said;
“I don’t put my value on a championship. I think some people need championships, I don’t think I do. You know, if you look back at my career some people might say I’ve been unsuccessful in ‘NXT’ but I would say the opposite.” he continued, When I think of Grayson Waller with a championship around his waist it ain’t gold, it ain’t an ‘NXT’ title, it’s a WWE title.”
Grayson Waller Was Active In NXT For Two Years
This might sound like an insult to the NXT but this is definitely work and work only. This would help Waller to gain immense heat among the NXT fans which would be excellent to build up his negative character properly. So we must say that he did an excellent job to gain even more heat.
There are massive rumours that WWE has really big plans for this Australian professional wrestler and soon we can get to see him as a top star of the promotion. He made his main roster debut soon after getting drafted to Friday Night Smackdown during the WWE draft and from the very first day he had been extremely impressive.
But he could not make his in ring debut as soon as joining the main roster since he was not physically okay to compete. He recently made his in ring debut and he lost his first three matches in WWE. But all of them were big matches so we can still expect him to become a top star in the near future.
