Former two times WWE World Champion Drew McIntyre is out of action since his defeat by the hands of Gunther at WrestleMania 39. He has been over two months but The Scottish Warrior did not return to WWE. However, his mega return to the promotion looks more and more imminent.
Various reports from different media sources claimed that Drew McIntyre was unhappy with his recent bookings and he does not want to comeback until he gets proper booking. WWE seemed pretty much confident on bringing him back as there were mentions of him a number of times during his absence which is pretty unusual.

WWE Smackdown star Ridge Holland who worked with The Scottish Psychopath recently as a team commented on the potential return of the 38 year old to WWE. Holland and McIntyre worked as a team at Survivor Series PLE inside the WarGames match against the Bloodline.
Recently, Ridge Holland was interviewed by Cultoholic Wrestling where he shared update on the current status of The Scottish Psychopath. He said, “He’s fine. Drew’s fine. Yeah, he is probably in the gym as we speak, lifting two cows…he’s a big human. Yeah, he’s fine. Drew is good.”
“You’ll See Drew McIntyre Back In A WWE Ring” Ridge Holland
When Holland was asked about McItyre’s potential return date, “I don’t know for sure. I don’t know anything…I think whether it’s a month from now, two months from now, three months from now, you’ll see Drew McIntyre back in a WWE ring.” Confirmed The Brawling Brute member.
During the WWE Draft that took place recently, McIntyre got drafted to Monday Night RAW in spite of the fact he was out of action. Earlier this month, WWE also posted homage on his birthday. So he is pretty much a WWE star as of now and we can still expect him to return to the promotion soon.
There are rumours that McIntyre might return as a heel this time and feud for the new World Heavyweight Championship. Fans are really hoping to see The Scottish Psychopath turning heel before grabbing the World title. We did not get to see him working as a heel on the main event scene since his return.
