WWE Hall of Famer ‘The Hitman’ Bret Hart recently announced in an interview that he would love to face ‘The Phenomenal One’ AJ Styles in a one-on-one match. Bret Hart is a former five times WWE Champion and a two times WCW World Heavyweight Champion was one of the most famous professional wrestlers of his time, and AJ Styles is currently one of the most over wrestlers, in a small amount of time he earned three WWE championship runs.

Wrestling fans often name their dream matches on YouTube and blogs such as Hulk Hogan vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker vs. Sting, Andre The Giant vs. The Big Show, The Rock vs. Shawn Michaels, and many more. Since these matches never took place and most of them are impossible right now, fans often organize these matches in video games to simulate the experience. AJ Styles vs. Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart would easily make itself to the list of the dream matches.

Recently, Bret Hart took part in a virtual Q&A at the Asylum Wrestling Store where he expressed his desire to face ‘The Phenomenal’ AJ Styles. He was so passionate about this match that he even had booking ideas about this match as well. He said;

Of the current guys right now, I think I would’ve loved to work with AJ Styles. I mean he’s such a great talent and such a great wrestler that it would’ve been fun just to wrestle one big time or one big match with him. Either heel or babyface would’ve been fun. He’s gotta be one of the greatest athletes in the business ever and it would have been fun just to dance with him one time, just to have one classic match with him. A babyface match would’ve been a good match. Him working heel, me working babyface would’ve been good.

Me working heel, him working babyface would’ve been good. Any way that would’ve, could’ve [been] put it together would have been a masterpiece match. I think he stands out.

Bret Hart as the babyface and AJ Styles as the heel facing each other in a one-on-one match would have been a match to remember forever. But unfortunately, Bret Hart could never get back into shape after the injury he picked up in early 2000 in a match Goldberg. This is seriously a huge upset for the wrestling world that we could see the dream match between ‘The Phenomenal One’ vs ‘the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.’
