Britt Baker is the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion who has established herself to be a top star in the company. Without a doubt, the WWE’s rival brand gives their stars a much bigger platform than their talents mostly used to receive prior to joining this brand. With their current status, they are certainly in a position to throw shade at others.

Britt Baker is certainly one of those names who previously failed to join the big league of WWE. But now she is enjoying her days as the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion. This is a pretty good situation to be in as she could be the face of the female roster of the WWE rival brand. Also, she’s in a position to throw shade on the developmental system created by the WWE.

The top female athlete described the WWE developmental approach as formulaic. Per her view, this process is to make non-wrestlers into sports entertainers which is something that’s well-liked by Vince McMahon. But the approach doesn’t work well for talent since each of them has their own individual traits.

“I don’t think putting a bunch of models and athletes off the street in a warehouse and teaching them all to do the same thing the same way at the same time is going to create a successful roster. People learn differently and they have different strengths and weaknesses, and sometimes you have to find out what those are on your own,” Britt Baker stated.

It should be noted that Britt Baker was responding to comments made by WWE President Kick Kahn as the company is going with a new approach to talent development in NXT 2.0. Reports also indicate that they will adopt a new way to sign and retain wrestlers. Per Khan’s comments, they are focused on younger talent and even no pro wrestling experience would be okay with them.

As noted, Britt Baker is the current AEW Women’s World champion who has also signed a multi-year contract extension with the company. But before this arrival, she had a tryout in the WWE and she wasn’t obviously pleased with the policy that Vince McMahon and Co follow.
