Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Brutus the Barber Beefcake recently revealed his experience on working with the Macho Man Randy savage.
The two legends of professional wrestling worked together during the late 80s. They were not remembered for working as a tag team, but their rivalry in 1989 became really famous in the time and is still remembered.
Brutus Beefcake On His Experience On Working With Randy Savage
At SummerSlam 1989, Brutus the Barber Beefcake teamed up with the Immortal Hulk Hogan to take on the Macho Man Randy Savage and his Tag Team partner Zeus. The match was booked to promote the upcoming movie No Holds Barred in that time. But the match became really famous.
They had another one on one match in May 1989. In that match, Randy Savage played heel and was accompanied by the Sensational Sherri. Beefcake almost won the match by submission before they were interrupted by Sherri. The mentioned match between the duo that is still remembered to date.
Recently the Barber Brutus Beefcake featured as a guest on Wrestling Inc. Daily where he revealed his experience on working with Randy Savage. He said;
“We had tremendously good matches. Randy pretty much had the same relationship with everybody, very moody. I mean, one minute he was great and everything’s fine. The next minute, it was just the Randy Savage show. He was all over the map, and you just had to deal with it. I wrestled Randy a lot. I knew where he was coming from. He knew where I was coming from. We worked well in the ring together. Our matches were tremendous, and that was what was important.”
“I had my t-back on, bent over to get something, and the next thing you know, Randy was up and things were flying. He’s grabbing Liz and dragging her off the beach. He said I bent over with my butt in Liz’s face, which really didn’t happen, but okay. And he got on a plane and left Hawaii because of my ass.”
