Former WWE star and a former five times WWE World Champion Daniel Bryan who is currently working by his previous name Bryan Danielson recently talked about the AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page and compared him with professional wrestling legend Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Bryan Danielson had been one of the biggest names in WWE and he was a top baby face of the promotion. Nobody expected WWE would let him go so easily. A lot of professional wrestling legends, critics and fans criticized WWE for letting Bryan go since he was the top babyface of the promotion. And if WWE is lacking in something that is building a top babyface for the promotion.

After Bryan left WWE is struggling badly to build a concrete babyface for either of their main roster shows. For both shows they had to bring back part time wrestlers so that they could feature as the babyface number one contender for both world championships. Right now they are trying to build new faces, but it does not seem like they would be able to build someone like Bryan so easily.

Bryan made his AEW debut at the recent AEW pay per view event which was All Out. It was one star-studded show. There were more debuts of former WWE stars like Adam Cole and Ruby Riott aka Ruby Soho.

Daniel Bryan who is currently working by his previous name Bryan Danielson recently spoke to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated where he talked about the AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page and compared him with professional wrestling legend Stone Cold Steve Austin. He said;

“AEW fans want to be able to claim that the AEW champion is the best wrestler in the world. If I am the AEW world champion, then they can make that claim. That happened back when I was in Ring of Honor, too. A lot of AEW fans love ‘Hangman,’ and I’m going to get a lot of boos. But no one can deny that I am the best champion in the world if I become the AEW champion.

“I love his updated brawler style of wrestling. To me, he wrestles a modernized version of the way Steve Austin wrestled, and that cowboy persona reminds a lot of people of Steve Austin. But in 2021, you can’t come in and be just like Steve Austin. He’s developed this nuanced cowboy character with a drinking problem.”
