Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley he is also a former 10 times WWE Tag Team Champion and a formal two times TNA World Heavyweight champion recently talked about a potential feud between Roman Reigns and the Rock.
A dream match between the current WWE Universal Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns and professional wrestling Legend The Rock had been rumoured for a very long time. There were rumours of this match being the main event of WrestleMania 38. But the plans were changed and Roman faced Brock Lesnar at the mentioned event.
Bubba Ray Dudley Reflects On A Potential Roman Reigns Vs. Rock Feud
Even though the match between Roman and the Rock was not ruled out. In fact it is still very much planned and according to numerous reports this match is going to be the main event of WrestleMania 39. This can definitely be a dream match and a lot of fans had been waiting to see this match for quite a long time.
But there are some negative sides of this match as well. If this much actually takes place this will be really predictable. The Rock will never come back to WWE permanently show the current face of WWE will not lose to a part timer in any means. So because of its predictability, we do not see how the match can be anything special.
Bubba Ray Dudley he is also a former 10 times WWE Tag Team Champion and a former two times TNA World Heavyweight champion recently spoke to Busted Open Radio where he talked about a potential feud between Roman Reigns and the Rock. He said;
“Rock comes back, wins the Rumble, gets his shot at ‘Mania. It’s pretty simple. Keep it simple, stupid. Slow and steady wins the race. Win the Rumble, build, build, build to ‘Mania. Yeah, I don’t see any other way.”
“And I would love to see the Rumble this year come down to some real heavy-hitters – maybe the last four in the ring [could be] The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton – some real strong talent where it’s like, ‘Wow, anybody could win this one.’ Any one of these last three or four men could main event WrestleMania against Roman Reigns.
“If The Rock’s calendar is free for the first quarter of 2023, hopefully the WWE is going to maximize that and milk everything that they can out of The Rock for a huge WrestleMania next year.”
