Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley who is a former nine times WWE Tag Team Champion recently talked about the former WWE World Champion Big E and said that the thirty five year old professional wrestler is more valuable while chasing the WWE Championship.
At the Money in the Bank pay per view event, Big E won the Money in the Bank briefcase by winning the Money in the Bank ladder match. After two months of carrying the Briefcase, E switched to Monday Night RAW and cashed it in on the previous WWE champion Bobby Lashley to grab the title for the first time. Since winning the Championship he had been a quite dominating champion. He won almost all the matches that he fought since.
Bubba Ray Dudley Wants To See Big E Chasing After The Title
At the Day 1 pay per view event of WWE which was scheduled on the first day of 2022, E was scheduled to defend his title in a fatal 4 way match against three former World Champions, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Bobby Lashley.
On the other hand the WWE Universal Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns was scheduled to defend his title against the beast incarnate Brock Lesnar on the same event. But due to having covid, Reigns could not complete in that event, therefore, Brock Lesnar was added into the fatal 4 way WWE championship match making it a fatal 5 way match.
To surprise the whole world, Brock Lesnar defeated all four men to win the WWE championship at the Day 1 pay per view event. Not only he won the match but he pinned Big E to capture the title.
On Monday Night RAW, WWE organised a fatal 4 way match to determine the next number one contender for the WWE championship including all four other men of the fatal 5 way match from Day 1.
The match was won by Bobby Lashley, so as of now, E is out of the WWE championship picture. However, he can get into it by WrestleMania 38. And E vs Brock Lesnar would have been an excellent match for a stage like Wrestlemania.
Bubba Ray Dudley who is a former nine times WWE Tag Team Champion recently spoke on Busted Open Radio where he talked about the former WWE World Champion Big E and said that the thirty five year old professional wrestler is more valuable while chasing the WWE Championship. He said;
“Big E is one of those talents where I feel like you pay and you invest your emotion to see him chase another one of these guys, much like a Kofi Kingston where you feel like he’s been working hard for so long and he deserves better, thus you get behind him because of the chase.
“Then once it happens and the chase is over, alright fine we got what we want. Do we really wanna invest our — let’s forget about time and money. Do we really wanna invest our emotion in seeing Big E retain?
“Yeah, there will be some fans who wanna do that but the majority? I’m not quite sure.”
