Roman Reigns is the biggest wrestler in WWE today and the promotion put a lot of effort to make him the top star of the wrestling industry. It was never easy to build him as who he is today. The fans were not ready to accept him at all. But Reigns earned everyone’s respect slowly and now he is the biggest star in the world of professional wrestling.

Roman Reigns is holding the WWE Universal heavyweight championship for three long years and he became the first wrestler in 36 long years to have a 1000 day world title reign in WWE. There are rumours that WWE is considering him to break the record of Hulk Hogan who had a reign of 1474 days. The promotion values him really high.

Can Roman Reigns Surpass Ric Flair and John Cena? WWE Hall of Famer Weighs In

Reigns is already a six times world champion and since he is only 38 we can definitely expect him to have a long career and he might even beat the records of John Cena and Ric Flair who have the records of the highest title reigns. WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle also believed in this theory that he would beat these records soon. Speaking on his “The Kurt Angle Show” Podcast, he said;

On John Cena in 2005: “John Cena, he was maybe two or three years in the business by this time, and here he is on top. I mean, this kid picked it up very quickly, and he had the absolute — arguably, the best career in WWE history. He did win sixteen World Heavyweight Titles in WWE specifically. No one’s ever done that.”

Roman Reigns Beat Pedro Morales’ Record Recently

On Roman Reigns: “He’s going to break the record [John Cena and Ric Flair’s World Heavyweight Title record of 16 reigns]. If he doesn’t skip and go to Hollywood and become a movie star, which I think he’s going to do.”

On WWE turning Shawn Michaels heel for Hulk Hogan feud: “Yeah, I mean, you’re gonna have Shawn Michaels vs. Hulk Hogan? Two of the biggest names in the history of the business to at it at SummerSlam. This was the perfect time to do it. They were tagging together, this was great.”

Reigns would defend his title against Jey Uso at SummerSlam but it is highly unlikely that he would drop his title anytime soon. He is also rumoured to enter WrestleMania 40 and WrestleMania 41 as the champion. So we can expect him to carry the title for more than a year or so. Hopefully he keeps on doing the great work.
