Rumors suggest that Charlotte Flair is possibly gearing up for a mammoth return to WWE programming in the near future. But before coming back to the in-ring competition, we would be seeing her on WWE Network/Peacock programming.
Going by the recent confirmations received by the host network, WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin has lined up another celebrity star to appear for the upcoming episode of his talk show, The Broken Skull Sessions. Peacock sent out a WWE email to promote their streaming service and one of the announcements listed Charlotte Flair to be the next guest on Steve Austin: The Broken Skull Sessions.
WWE Summerslam 2022: Ric Flair Wanted To Wrestle Vince McMahon
The Broken Skull Sessions has been a regular feature on WWE Network/Peacock for the past few years. Stone Cold has had candid conversations with some of the biggest stars of the pro-wrestling industry. Recent guests have included the likes of Sami Zayn, Jeff Jarrett, Cody Rhodes, and Bubba Ray Dudley. As for Charlotte Flair, it will be the overall 30th episode of Broken Skull Sessions set to air next Friday, August 19th.
Charlotte Flair To Return In WWE To Seek Revenge Against Ronda Rousey
Charlotte Flair absent from WWE TV since May 2022
We haven’t seen Charlotte Flair on WWE programming since dropping the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash 2022 in May. During that match, Rousey snapped her arm via the Armbar submission to make her say I Quit, a storyline way to write the top superstar off TV. In reality, she needed that time off to get married to AEW Superstar Andrade El Idolo.
Then Summerslam and last week’s SmackDown featured a vignette to hype things up for Charlotte Flair, suggesting that a return may be on the horizon. This could happen on one of the next two Friday night episodes of Smackdown now that she will be appearing for Broken Skull Sessions on August 19. However, nothing is confirmed about her return, as of this writing.
As of this writing, Liv Morgan is the current Smackdown Women’s Champion who successfully defended her belt at Summerslam. Now, she is scheduled for her next title defense against Shayna Baszler at Clash at the Castle on 3 September. But reports suggest that the match lineup could change given a return of Charlotte Flair or even a suspended Ronda Rousey could very well be in-store.
