Former eleven times WWE Raw Women’s champion Charlotte Flair who is a future WWE Hall of Famer recently addressed the Becky Lynch chants that were chanted by the WWE fans during her recent matches. She also told how she felt to hear these chants.
Becky Lynch who is a former four times WWE Women’s champion is out of action for over a year and she was away from WWE because of the maternity leave. When she left WWE she was on the peak of her career and she was one of the most over wrestlers of WWE in that time. Having her out of action for such a long time was a massive blow for WWE as well.
Charlotte Flair On Becky Lynch Chants During Her Matches
Becky is now medically cleared to return to in ring action and she is ready for in ring return since Wrestlemania. Fans are badly waiting to see her returning to action and she can return anytime. Rumours suggest that she would return by SummerSlam or so. Even though it has not been made official by WWE yet.
Fans are so badly waiting for the return of Becky Lynch that they are giving chants of her name during the matches of Charlotte Flair and other women. WWE should keep the return of Becky Lynch a secret because it can gain a massive pop from the crowd. But we seriously hope Charlotte Flair would be out of the title picture after the return of Becky Lynch.
Charlotte Flair who is a former eleven times WWE Raw Women’s champion recently spoke to LA Times where she addressed the Becky Lynch chants that were chanted by the WWE fans during her recent matches. She said;
“Given our history, and it’s been two years since our feud, everything happened when she turned on me at SummerSlam a couple of years ago. So I think it’s natural for fans to do that and it doesn’t make sense to do it to anyone else.”
Does that upset her:
“No, I like it because it allows me to play back with them. And realize, if they aren’t reacting at all, that’s bad. It gives me a chance to play and have a cheeky line. At Money in the Back, I may have gestured to the audience, but that was more like “Don’t be disrespectful to Rhea Ripley. This is your first night back and do not do that and you are going to enjoy the show and don’t do that to her.” And by the end of the match they were chanting “This is awesome.”
“Rhea and I have never had the chance to dance in front of a live audience. That was our first time to really show them how great this rivalry has become.”
