Charlotte Flair Compared The Rise Of Ronda Rousey To Kurt Angle
Rousey had two options in her hand, one was the WWE Raw Women’s champion Becky Lynch and the other one was the WWE SmackDown Women’s champion Charlotte. Rousey decided to choose Charlotte over Becky Lynch in spite of the fact that Becky was one of the biggest rivals of her in the past.
Rousey remained out of action for nearly three years. The last time she was sold in a match before returning was at WrestleMania 35 where she defended the WWE Raw Women’s Championship. The fans were mostly behind Becky Lynch during that time. She did not come back to wrestling since because of a lot of reasons including injuries and pregnancy.

She finally made her return at the Royal Rumble pay per view event this year and she was a surprise and front of the women’s Royal Rumble match which she won and decided to challenge Charlotte for the WWE SmackDown women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38. We hope we are going to see an amazing WrestleMania worthy match at the said event.
Ronda Rousey became successful in WWE in a very short amount of time, similar to the success of Kurt Angle, who became a main event star in less than a year. It did not take his first World Championship in less than a year time and became a concrete main event star in a very short amount time, much like Rouesey.

Charlotte Flair who is also a twelve times Tag Team champion in WWE recently spoke to Hot 97 where she talked about the quick Rise of the former WWE Raw Women’s champion Ronda Rousey and she compared her rise to the one of Kurt Angle. She said;
“Absolutely. What she did that entire year, she faced The Bellas, Nia Jax, myself, Alexa Bliss. She performed with many different opponents at a high level. That doesn’t mean you necessarily have the best chemistry with everyone, but I think she went out there and she reminded me of Kurt Angle.
“She picked it up so quickly. It’s all about instinct and she has the instinct, and that’s half the battle. You can be in this business for a long time and never figure out instinct, in my opinion.”
