The former nine times WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair recently said that she will not be working with her father Ric Flair anymore in any other WWE storyline or in general.
Charlotte Flair was involved in a story line with Lacey Evans and Charlotte’s father Ric Flair recently which was quite controversial. Ric Flair is a 72 year old man and this was really disturbing to see him having involved in such a storyline.
Charlotte Flair Says That She Will Not Work With Her Father Again
Earlier this year, the storyline turned into a more disturbing way when lacey Evans announced that she is pregnant after Ric Flair. Lacey was pregnant in real life which made things a little bit more shocking. After that Lacey Evans was out on maternity leave and this storyline did not continue.
Fans started to ask questions if the unborn child is actually Ric Flair’s or it was just a storyline. Later it was confirmed that before just storyline however Lacey was actually pregnant and she is married. Ric Flair has nothing to do with it.
But a lot of fans believe that this story line must have been quite embarrassing for Charlotte Flair. Speaking of Charlotte, she recently spoke with the Hindustan Times where she revealed that she does not want to work with her father anymore. She said;
“It wasn’t so much about Lacey. It is very difficult with my dad. I had an extensive amount of time off for the first time ever in my career, I was eager and excited to come back and start fresh. I wanted to add layers to my characters as I felt stale. I wanted these changes. When my dad got brought into the picture, I was like man is 2021 and I don’t want to share the screen with my dad.
“I am Charlotte Flair now, I am not longer Ric Flair’s daughter, that’s Charlotte’s dad. I was like why I have to be on TV with my dad. I don’t want anyone to think that is selfish, anyone would love to share screen with their dad. But if anyone’s followed my career, all I have done since day one is pave my own legacy. Yes, I do a lot of his personal trademarks but it is also to acknowledge me as a separate performer. So that’s why I was frustrated at home because selfishly I wanted the screen for myself and not with my dad.”
