Chelsea Green was one of those superstars who was let go of her WWE contract, earlier today. WWE’s tradition of annual spring cleaning continued this year as a number of superstars who weren’t that much used have been released from the contract. Apart from Green, veteran names like Samoa Joe, Mickie James, or even The IIconics are no more under WWE deals in the news which garnered tons of attention from the professional wrestling world.
Fans and superstars of the industry have been reacting to these releases making it a trend over Twitter. The WWE Superstars released are all under standard 90-day non-compete clauses and until that time span, they can’t make appearances on TV. One superstar is confident enough on returning to TV, after all as seen via her statement.
Chelsea Green Wants Fans To Rate Her Tassels Between 1-10
Chelsea Green isn’t that upset over her WWE release as she wasn’t fully utilized in the first place. Following WWE’s official statement regarding her status, she released an emotional statement, though about the time she spent in the WWE locker room. Interestingly, she noted that she would soon be back on TV,
“I’ve made once in a lifetime memories at WWE,” Chelsea Green wrote. “I didn’t do everything I set out to do, but I’m proud of what I have done. (Can you say you were in a Royal Rumble for 14 seconds?) I’m proud of the fact that I never took NO for an answer (even after 4 tryouts and a reality show).
I’m proud of the fact that I came back stronger every single time I was knocked down (or broke an arm). Although it’s been a few years, nothing has changed. I’m still that girl. Tomorrow, I’ll get up, dust myself off and start on my next journey. I’m taking back control, I’m refocusing and I’m going to do what I’ve always set out to do – Make a name for myself. It’s been short & sweet WWE Universe. I’ll see you on TV [heart emoji]”

Impact Wrestling interested in Chelsea Green?

Interestingly, Scott D’Amore, the EVP of Impact Wrestling, has hinted on Twitter that Green could be on her way back to the company.

After her Impact Wrestling contract was over, Chelsea Green signed with WWE in 2018 as an NXT star and was called up to SmackDown right before the Survivor Series, last year. But she suffered a wrist injury during the debut match. Despite getting medically cleared to return, she has been kept off TV for the past couple of months.
