We haven’t spotted Chelsea Green on WWE TV, for quite some time due to an injury. The additional reason behind her absence could be the expiry of her deal in due course. That factor has now been wiped out if the recent reports are true. The SmackDown Superstar has reportedly signed a new WWE contract with a long-term extension, it seems by virtue of which she will be staying with WWE at least until 2024.
Chelsea Green signed a new three-year deal with WWE, according to Fightful Select. She suffered a wrist injury during her official SmackDown debut back in November before the Survivor Series pay-per-view to get shelved from the competition.
Since then, surgery was performed on her wrist so that she could be back in training sessions. But there’s no update available on her in-ring comeback on the blue brand.
Chelsea Green has quite the experience outside WWE
It is being noted that Chelsea Green’s original WWE contract was set to expire this summer, but now she’s locked in under the biggest pro-wrestling banner for three more years. The former Hot Mess gimmick-holder signed with the WWE NXT brand contract back in August 2018. She worked on Wednesday nights until receiving the official call-up on the November 13 episode of SmackDown, where she suffered the broken wrist.
Chelsea Green has made a name for herself by working in the Impact Wrestling promotion, where she performed as Laurel Van Ness. She was able to win the Knockouts Championship during her short tenure before leaving. Prior to that, she was one of indie wrestling’s hottest names also participated on WWE television on the 2015 edition of Tough Enough. She was also seen on Lucha Underground before arriving at the WWE.
Nowadays, Chelsea Green is known as the bikini specialist who often lits up Instagram in two-piece attires. As she is away from TV, she has received some extra time to pose on Florida beaches. Green is recovering from her wrist injury who is trying to get medically cleared by the WWE doctors. But she is regularly attending training sessions. In a recent picture on Instagram, she was seen training with Taya Valkyrie, who just signed with WWE.
