One of the most popular professional wrestling couples of this generation is Chelsea Green and Matt Cordona. For those who can’t recognize the latter name, he used to be Zack Ryder in the WWE. Earlier, both the superstars have been released from the WWE’s contract as the company is going through some COVID-19 pandemic-related budget cuts.
Now, pro-wrestling couple Chelsea Green and Matt Cardona are set to tie the knot on New Year’s Eve. Green appeared on the latest edition of her “Green with Envy” podcast to inform that she and Cardona will finally get married on December 31. The duo originally planned to get married last year, but things had to be pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

“I’m getting married,” Chelsea Green said. “It’s so crazy because I’m 30 years old. I just turned 30. If you had asked me when I was 16, ‘When do you think you’ll get married?’, I thought for sure that I was going to be 24 years old, married, and having babies.
Now I’m 30, and I’m in no rush at all. I’ve got my 3 cats, I have my 2 dogs, we have our house with a pool. I feel like we’re good. I’m happy, but I will say, once I met Matt, and I knew that was going to be the guy I was going to be with the rest of my life, I was ready to marry him. It’s been weird.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling News)

Now, she’s completed 30 who’s looking forward to starting a new chapter in her life, really soon. Green, a Canadian will be able to gather her family members for the wedding as the borders are opening up following the COVID situation.
The duo has been pretty open about their relationship since the beginning. Chelsea Green and Cardona began dating back in January 2017, and Green later announced their engagement on April 4, 2019, which was on her 28th birthday.
As stated on the podcast, Green also wanted to keep things private for the wedding which is pretty opposite from her usual characteristics. She previously wanted to feature in a reality TV show like Total Divas to showcase more of their private life to the fans. Time will tell whether she would be able to do so.
