Chelsea Green is currently an active WWE star who recently shared her inspiring comeback story to WWE. Chelsea spent three years in WWE before and she worked in the NXT for the most time period of her previous part of her WWE career.
In 2021, she was one of the victims of the mass release of WWE when the promotion was forced to make budget cuts during the covid-19 pandemic. Chelsea worked in various other promotions and she earned massive success outside of WWE. But her fans still wanted her back in WWE.
Chelsea Green’s Incredible Comeback Story: How She Earned Her WWE Job Back
Their wish finally came true when Chelsea Green made her shocking return to WWE during the women’s Royal Rumble match earlier this year. Since then she is working regularly in WWE. Recently Chelsea spoke to Ryan Satin on Out of Character where she revealed how she got her job back in WWE. Here is what she had to say;
“I texted [Triple H] and I said, ‘I want my job back.’ He said, ‘Okay, call me.’ I was shocked. ‘I want to comeback to WWE. My story is not finished.’ On that phone call, he said, ‘I absolutely would love to have you back. You just tell me when is a good time for you to start.”
“At the end of the day, why are we embarrassed to ask for things? I will never understand that. I had asked to work for WWE probably 100 times. I’m not embarrassed about that one bit. I have my dream job, I’m doing exactly what I want. I get to help give my family what they want. I get to feed my amazing animals and live in Florida.
“Why would I be embarrassed that I had to ask somebody for that? I got it. I have no problem asking for it now, just like I had no problem asking for my very first tryout in 2014 and when they didn’t give it to me, you best believe I asked for it eight more times until they gave me that damn tryout.”
This might have been the biggest reason why she was not treated more than anything as a heel since her return to WWE. Surely she does not deserve the treatment she is receiving right now but she is a pretty talented performer and we seriously believe she could get a decent push in WWE.
