Chris Jericho to vacate the United States championship on Raw 1

There is a strong rumour that Chris Jericho will vacate the WWE United States championship on the following of Monday Night Raw.

There is a rule in WWE that if a wrestler does not defend his championship in 30 days he or she has to vacate the championship.

Chris Jericho last defended the belt at a house show in Anchorage, Alaska on February 11, 2017, that was days two before the festival of friendship incident took place where he was attacked and beaten down by his former best friend Kevin Owens.

But the 30-day rule is applicable for the wrestlers that picked up an injury that means it is behind kayfabe, yes, kayfabe injuries or departures do not count in this rule. If you are a champion and you pick up a real injury that keeps you out of action for over thirty days, only then you have to vacate your title.

But Chris Jericho is out of the picture right now is because of a storyline purpose and he will be back at Fastlane according to all the speculations. We have seen active superstars not defending championships for over thirty days in past.

But there is a rumour spreading around that Chris Jericho will be forced to vacate the United States championship on this following week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

So what prize will be on the line at WrestleMania in the fight between Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho? If Owens loses the Universal championship at Fastlane and Jericho vacates the united States championship on the very next day, both wrestlers will be out of titles.

It is pretty much confirmed that Kevin Owens will meet Chris Jericho at WrestleMania which rumoured to be booked for the United States championship, even there was a rumour that the Universal title will be on the line in this match.

If the rumours are true, will the match between Kevin and Chris be just a non-title match? Questions will only be answered in the following week of Monday Night Raw.
