Former WWE star and a former OVW Southern Tag Team Champion Chris Masters who is also a former two times NWA National Champion recently talked about a potential return to WWE and a potential Master Lock vs. Hurt Lock battle if he ever returns to WWE.
Chris Masters got a contract from WWE at a very young age, and only one year after his professional wrestling debut. In 2003 is started working on the Ohio Valley Wrestling which was the development Territory of WWE back in the time. In February, 2005 he made his main roster debut and from the very first day of his main roster debut he had been a portrait as a potential future main event star.

Chris Masters Discusses A Potential Master Lock Vs. Hurt Lock Battle
He started to receive big feuds with big names like Shawn Michaels which made the intention of WWE pretty clear about “The Masterpiece.” He also organised the Master Lock challenge where he picked random people from the crowd and offered them money if they could break his submission hold, The Master Lock, which was nothing else but the Full Nelson Lock.
But with time, his popularity faded in WWE and the promotion also gave up on him. Ultimately he became a lower mid card and in 2007 he was let go by WWE. In 2009 he was brought back by WWE once again but this time WWE did not have any big vision about The Masterpiece. In 2011 he was released from WWE once again and he started working on the independent circuit and other professional wrestling promotions. Right now he is active on the NWA.

Chris Masters who is also a former two times NWA National Champion recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet’s “INSIGHT” podcast where he talked about a potential return to WWE and a potential Master Lock vs. Hurt Lock battle if he ever returns to WWE. He said;
“Oh, there’s a lot of connections there,” Masters said. “I’m kind of like a ghost from his past at this point. But like I just feel like you know in the right scenario you know, you have Lashley dominating with the Hurt Lock and then you were to hear that OG Chris Masters theme. I feel like and again this more is because everybody you know, I feel like since I’ve kind of started within the last year and this year to petition for the Rumble.

“Again, it’s not as I don’t feel like I’m ever coming back to WWE full time. For me, it would just be it would be great to come back to the Rumble to, you know, sort of make amends with certain people within the company, but also to show like you were saying before, show the WWE Universe the polished performer that I become and like, yeah, I wasn’t able to do it there, unfortunately.
“But I did get there. And so for me, that would be, that would feel good. And like again, and but the biggest thing being about that oh shit moment of having that moment of me coming down the aisle and having like, some guy sitting next to his buddy slap on the chest, like ‘Oh, my God, Hurt Lock vs. Master Lock, it’s gonna happen.’ Yeah, that’s what it’s about. So like, it’s really not out of a place of selfishness and we’re like, let’s, let’s have Chris Masters come back full time. But like, for all those reasons, it would be awesome.”
