Clash at the Castle 2022 is going to be the first big stadium show in the United Kingdom in almost three decades. To sell out the huge show, a number of top marquee superstars are needed to sell things out. That brings the former franchise player John Cena into the conversation who is under speculation to make an appearance at the pay-per-view event.
The 16-time World Champion carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. But nowadays he became a part-timer due to his Hollywood commitments. This is the reason that he won’t be present during WWE’s next Clash at the Castle 2022 event.

John Cena has not been seen since that June 20 episode and Wales Comic Con marked the next public appearance for the 16-time World Champion confirmed. Since the same city will host Clash at the Castle 2022, there are speculations that he will be present for the Premium Live Event on September 3rd. After getting asked about his status for the upcoming event, he clarified the same via the following comments,

John Cena won’t be in the UK during Clash at the Castle 2022
John Cena previously noted through an uploaded video that he may be attending Clash at the Castle 2022. Cena said that he is Clash at the Castle’s “opening act” while being at the convention. The actual meaning of the statement was that he will be in the country before the WWE roster flies overseas. He’s primarily scheduled to be in Vancouver, Canada for filming Peacemaker.
Cena has been a regular fixture for the WWE whenever the company visited Cardiff, Wales. The last time he wrestled in the city was against Dolph Ziggler at a Live Event in November 2011. With that win, he clinched the eighth victory in Wales, keeping him in a perfect 8-0 record.
Now, WWE is heading over to Cardiff, Wales, for their first stadium PLE in the United Kingdom since SummerSlam 1992. Back then The British Bulldog defeated Bret Hart in the main event match to win the Intercontinental Championship. The next time around, the show will be headlined by Roman Reigns defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against the UK-native Drew McIntyre.
