Clash at the Castle 2022 is slated for today evening in Cardiff, Wales which is the first WWE Stadium Show even in the UK in almost three decades. One of the major attractions on the card was supposed to be Ronda Rousey but going by the recent report, she won’t be making the trip to the UK and will thereby miss the show.

WWE has been hyping up Clash at the Castle 2022 for months and the former Smackdown Women’s Champion was part of the promotions. She was also present in the promotional materials hinting at a big match involvement. While some of the biggest stars in the company will be in action at the premium live event, it doesn’t sound like fans should expect to see her in action or in any other capacity.

Per Dave Meltzer during this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, ‘The Baddest Woman on the Planet’ wasn’t planned to be making the journey to Cardiff “as of midweek”. Plans can change, of course, but it still doesn’t look likely that Rousey will be making an appearance at Clash at the Castle 2022.

For the past few weeks, Ronda Rousey has been serving a storyline suspension. She was also arrested on SmackDown, two weeks ago but was ultimately released. WWE official Adam Pearce didn’t want to press charges against her as she faced a final judgment on this week’s Smackdown broadcast.

During the show, Pearce announced that Rousey’s suspension was finally lifted since she’d paid her fine. But Pearce did go bad-mouth against her, leading to a beatdown from The Baddest Woman on the Planet.

Clash At The Castle 2022: Top WWE Smackdown Superstar Pulled Off PLE 2

As noted above, WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 will mark the company’s first major United Kingdom stadium event since August 1992 when they hosted SummerSlam that year from London’s Wembley Stadium. Multiple top WWE Superstars will be in action on tonight’s show but the United Kingdom fans will miss seeing Ronda Rousey, though.

The Rowdy WWE Superstar lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Liv Morgan at Money in the Bank. In the rematch at SummerSlam Rousey lost the opportunity to regain the belt after the referee took a controversial decision. Since then, she has been out of the title while her Four-Horsewomen ally Shayna Baszler will challenge Liv for the title at Clash at the Castle 2022.
