CM Punk got physical on this week’s AEW Dynamite in a wrestling ring after more than seven years. The former Straight Edge Leader came out to address his upcoming match with Darby Allin at AEW All Out. His hometown crowd in Chicago sarcastically asked the crowd if they weren’t sick of him, yet.
CM Punk then doubted whether he could win against Allin this Sunday given the fact that he hasn’t wrestled in nearly a decade. This led to a “you still got it!” chant from the crowd. The chants continued until 2point0 and Daniel Garcia hit the ring to attack the Best in the World.

Allin and Sting made the save for CM Punk shortly, making the trio go for a retreat. Allin and Sting would hit a Coffin Drop and Scorpion Death Drop, respectively, before CM Punk hit his pendant Go to Sleep move on Jeff Parker of 2point0. If we count out an unconfirmed indie appearance in 2019, this was the first time that the Chicago native hit his finisher in over seven years.
CM Punk to appear on AEW Rampage
After this beatdown, CM Punk and Allin got nose to nose, having a staredown before the mega match scheduled for AEW All Out. Tensions were high but the two never got physical. Sting would get on the mic to proclaim that how honored he was to share the ring with the former WWE Champion. The WWE Hall of Famer also noted that he won’t be at ringside this Sunday but he will support Allin from ringside.
Before CM Punk and Darby Allin square off this Sunday night, Alling will face Daniel Garcia this Friday on AEW Rampage. Sunday’s pay-per-view will also mark Punk’s long-awaited return to the ring since the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in 2014.
Before the Second City Savior returns to competition, he is also set for another appearance on TV as AEW officially announced him for this week’s AEW Rampage on Friday night. Check out the card of the weekly show,
