As reported earlier, WWE had plans to hold the first-ever all-women’s Queen of the Ring tournament later in the year 2021. Then updates also claimed that the finale of the tourney will be taking place at the next WWE event slated for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The latest update claims King of the Ring is also returning this year, with those finals also taking place in Saudi Arabia, according to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men podcast.

There is no official announcement on WWE’s part on the return to Saudi Arabia although reports claim that they are expected to return on Thursday, October 21 for the Crown Jewel PPV. It’s believed that the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will begin earlier in October, with the finals will go down in late October in that Saudi show.

The tournament returned in 2019 with Baron Corbin becoming the final winner by defeating Chad Gable in the finale. In more update, Wrestling INC reports that the inaugural WWE Queen of the Ring tournament could be named “Queen’s Crown Tournament” as the company filed to trademark the name on August 27. It’s expected to begin soon on Raw and Smackdown weekly episodes.
