As reported earlier, CM Punk went out of the line while talking about his colleagues after in a press conference after AEW All Out 2022. Hangman Adam Page, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks were his target and they consequence-wise got involved in a backstage fight, it appears. The AEW personnel involved in the backstage altercation following the pay-per-view have reportedly been suspended.
According to the reports of Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, the reigning AEW World Champion CM Punk, The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and Ace Steel, will “not be brought to Buffalo” for this Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite taping. All of these men were involved in the backstage altercation and they’ll reportedly be punished.

Fightful Select reported that after the media scrum The Young Bucks approached CM Punk’s locker room for a chat but he didn’t answer. It’s revealed by the source that The Young Bucks then smashed the door and broke into the room. There are some legit claims that they “kicked the door down.”

Ace Steel’s wife was in the room and Steel reportedly threw a chair and bit someone. The claim from Steel’s side is that he was looking out for his wife. The reports also suggested that Kenny Omega didn’t seem much upset initially, but the situation got out of hand after he was bitten. The backstage fight was allegedly a “very long” altercation alongside verbal exchanges from both sides.
The speculations also suggest that CM Punk injured his triceps during the brawl, but some of the sources close to him claim that it happened during a suicide dive that took place during the All Out main event match against Jon Moxley. The severity of the injury is unknown but it’s being said that the champion was already hurt heading into the backstage altercation.
In more news, the rumor mill suggests that CM Punk and Ace Steel are legit done with AEW, but those sources close to them haven’t confirmed the same, at this point. But they’re reportedly on the verge of getting suspended, at least. Meltzer’s report also mentioned that AEW producer Pat Buck is also being suspended but he did not specify if Buck was involved in the altercation that took place after All Out.
