With Roman Reigns moving into a limited-performing schedule, Cody Rhodes could possibly become the new face of the WWE. A report from Wrestling INC pointed out how WWE’s social media channels are lately featuring the top WWE Raw Superstar as their cover images.
As given in screengrabs below, the official @WWE and @WWENetwork Twitter handles have been carrying images from Cody Rhodes’ heroic attempt on competing inside the Hell in a Cell structure with an injury and becoming successful in that as she was able to secure a pinfall win over Seth Rollins.

It was noted how WWE usually puts header photos for posters of upcoming premium live events or a generic photo of current champions. WWE also uses their headers for a brief period to endorse a champion or a significant moment like when Big E won the MITB contract or the WWE Championship but it’s a rare occasion for Cody Rhodes who’s getting the spotlight despite not even being on TV.
@WWE on BT Sport and @WWE on FOX Twitter accounts still has Roman Reigns and The Bloodline as their header photos, but those accounts aren’t directly handled by WWE’s digital media employees. Also, FOX’s account heavily promotes SmackDown Superstars since the broadcaster is in charge of airing WWE’s blue brand shows.

Cody Rhodes was specially permitted to compete at HIAC 2022
So there are some speculations about whether WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon is beginning to see Cody Rhodes as the new ‘face of the WWE’. During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that McMahon allowed an injured Cody to perform and defeat Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell given the fact that WWE protocol doesn’t allow a superstar to perform who is about to undergo surgery.
“Vince McMahon decided to go with the finish that kept intact Rhodes’s undefeated streak since joining the company two months ago,” Meltzer wrote in his report.
Following that bygone match, Cody Rhodes has successfully undergone surgery and is expected to miss up to 9 months of action. WWE announced that The American Nightmare repaired a torn pectoral tendon via the operational procedure. With Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns leaving for Hollywood eventually, chances are high that Rhodes could eventually become WWE’s poster boy when he returns.
