WWE Universe was in shock after seeing the physical condition of Cody Rhodes at Hell In A Cell 2022 as he arrived at the venue with a torn pec. WWE Officials told Cody he doesn’t have to compete in such a state and that they’d arrange a backup plan. However, the top superstar insisted on performing in his scheduled match against Seth Rollins.

The Doctor checked Cody Rhodes’ injury and informed him that he has a completely torn pec to which no further damage can be done. Hence, the Hell in a Cell main event moved along as planned and we got to see a full-length match. The former AEW Superstar didn’t only perform but also ended up winning the match. But to make it safe, a lot of planned high-risk spots were removed from the match, one of them being a Moonsault.

As reported earlier, The American Nightmare is expected to be out of action for three to five months. However, he floated the possibility of making a miraculous comeback earlier this week on Raw by saying that he can be competing for the Money in the Bank briefcase at WWE’s next premium live event.

But then the chances of his imminent return ended at the hands of Seth Rollins who blindsided Cody Rhodes with a sledgehammer shot at the back of his head. This was a turn-on from The Visionary after he praised his rival’s courageous performance at Hell in a Cell. This angle was reportedly done to write off the top Raw Superstar as he starts rehabbing for the injury.
