Last Saturday at Summerslam, Cody Rhodes went in a mega battle with Brock Lesnar and this was their third and final clash. This long going feud was going on since the first episode of Monday night RAW after WrestleMania 39 and the American Nightmare finally earned the official victory over Brock Lesnar.
Definitely we would get to see the 38 year old would get involved in a completely new feud and storyline by the upcoming episode of Monday Night RAW. It is still not confirmed what feud he would do next but we can all assume what it can be. Rhodes himself also believes that the fans can easily understand what he is going to get in next.
Cody Rhodes’ Next Move: What’s in Store After His Triumphant Summerslam Victory?
Can you guess what his next feud could be? Before we get to see what he said about it, we can all come to one conclusion that he might challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship which is a loading since the very first day the Visionary won the title. While speaking on the WWE SummerSlam post-show press conference, he said;
“We were talking about finishing the story. Now the thing that I’ve been saying to myself, saying out loud while I’m laying on the mat, is ‘get back!’ I wanna get back to the same situation I was in, the same scenario I was in, and fix that outcome,” said the winner of the men’s Royal Rumble match of 2023.

Rhodes continued, “I’m not gonna say specifically what that is, but we can all read between the lines, and the journey to get there is dang near next to impossible, it really is. Really, really is, including three with Brock Lesnar. But that would be what I would hope, but again, [I’m] consistently surprised, so you really never know. With me on Monday nights, you never know.'”
Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes had an excellent feud over the year 2022 and it was clearly won by Rhodes. A restart of the feud and this time for the World Heavyweight Championship would be delightful. There are also big rumours that Rhodes would have a rematch against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.
But is Cody rumored to win the Royal Rumble match for the second consecutive time? At this moment, Gunther is the favorite to win the men’s Royal Rumble match but he would probably challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship. So Cody might be given a different way to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, if it actually happens.
