Former WWE star and a former WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes who is also the current and three times AEW TNT Champion recently praised his wife Brandi Rhodes for returning to in ring action after having a baby.
Cody Rhodes is the younger son of professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer the late great Dusty Rhodes. His elder brother Dustin Rhodes is also quite famous in the world of professional wrestling. He is mostly known as Goldust, the gimmick he played throughout his WWE career.
Cody Rhodes Praises Brandi Rhodes For Her Return
Cody started his professional wrestling career back in 2006 at the age of 20 only. His professional wrestling career started under WWE. The promotion had high hopes from the young professional wrestler.
He was never presented as a main event star in WWE, but he was a solid card throughout his WWE career. He won the WWE Tag Team Championship a total of six times, and he also won the WWE Intercontinental Championship 2 times in total.
He stayed with WWE for a decade and he was quite famous in the promotion. But he was quite frustrated with the way the promotion was beating him resulting him asking for his release in 2016. He was granted his request and he was released from WWE in 2016.
After spending fun times on the independent circuit and other professional wrestling promotions, he came to the newly founded promotion that was currently the biggest Rival of WWE, the All Elite Wrestling. He is currently going quite strong in his new promotion.
Cody Rhodes who is also the current and three times AEW TNT Champion recently spoke to Wrestling Inc. Daily where he praised his wife Brandi Rhodes for returning to in ring action after having a baby. He said;
“In reality TV you see parts that are scripted or framed up. One of the things we really wanted to do with Rhodes to the Top was keeping it as authentic as possible. Included is the moment where she and I are in the basement gym we have, and I told her she needs to come back on Dark and how she should come back.
“And all of that manifested itself in this run she is currently on. You’ll hear so many women who go through pregnancy. They’ll talk about the bounceback but also the mental bounceback. The further commitment to it.”
“A segment people talk about, especially with episodic TV. I have endless respect and admiration. I’m very proud of Brandi. I know she wants [daughter] Liberty to think she is the coolest of the cool when it comes to wrestlers. I think she does.”
