At Crown Jewel 2022, The Usos retained their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles against The Brawling Brutes (Ridge Holland and Butch). The match went down as per the schedule but Jey Uso may have competed in the match with an injury and possibly reaggravated the same while performing in the ring.

Michael Cole stated on commentary that Jey believed he has a broken wrist and will get an MRI done on Monday. Cole said how Jey could have picked up an injury while wrestling on WWE’s European tour this past week. He was seen on Smackdown during the Crown Jewel 2022 go-home edition but that was a taped episode from the week prior.

The finish of the tag team title match at Crown Jewel 2022 saw The Usos hitting a Super 1D off the second rope on Butch to get the victory. Now that the duo has emerged as the champion, WWE has also been hyping up The Usos defending their Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles against The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) on this coming episode of SmackDown.

The Usos set for high-stakes title match after Crown Jewel 2022

If The Usos manage to pull off the win over The New Day then they will become the longest-reigning WWE Tag Team Champions ever in the history of the company. Thus, they will also break The New Day’s previous record which lasted for 483 days. We can only hope that the injury of Jey Uso isn’t serious and he will be able to work through it on Smackdown and beyond.

Besides The Usos, their leader from The Bloodline faction, Roman Reigns also defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Logan Paul in the main event of Crown Jewel 2022. After incredible utilization of agile maneuvers, Logan came up short in winning the greatest prize in sports entertainment.

While he was able to earn praise from the fans and critics, Logan also suffered 3 injuries in this match: torn meniscus, MCL & ACL. Below is the photo that he posted on his Instagram story to reveal his condition after competing in the title match,

Since Logan is a part-timer in WWE programming, he’s not likely returning to WWE competition until a major event like Wrestlemania arrives, next year, and the assumption is that he will heal up the bruises picked from Crown Jewel 2022 before returning for his next outing in the WWE.
