WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship changed hands at Crown Jewel 2022 marking the second time happening, this week. We got new champions for the titles on Raw, this past Monday night while the former champions were able to take those belts within a gap of just five days after they’ve been offered unprecedented help from a lunatic female superstar of the WWE Raw roster.
In the second match of the Crown Jewel 2022 premium live event, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY defeated Alexa Bliss and Asuka (C) to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

As noted above, this title change came just five days after The DAMAGE CTRL members lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships to Asuka and Alexa Bliss on the October 31 edition of WWE Raw which was the go-home edition for Crown Jewel 2022. While DAMAGE CTRL’s Dakota Kai and IYO SKY regained the titles on Saturday PLE, their leader Bayley failed to win the Raw Women’s Title against Bianca Belair.

Existing feud from WWE Raw continued on Crown Jewel 2022
Kai and SKY have been feuding with Bliss and Asuka since their inclusion to the main roster during this year’s SummerSlam, where they aligned with Bayley and delivered beatdowns to the likes of Bianca, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, and Becky Lynch for consecutive weeks. The heel faction wanted to take things over on the Raw women’s division by showing their heel aggression.
At Crown Jewel 2022, Nikki Cross came through the crowd to interfere with the tag team title match as she attacked Bliss and thus allowed Kai to gain the pinfall win over Bliss to win the titles. While Cross has been acting in a strange way, as of late, Bliss is speculated to rejoin Bray Wyatt. Before the match against Damage CTRL even began, Bliss was seemingly hypnotized by Wyatt’s logo flashed on the monitor during a backstage interview.
Crown Jewel 2022 marked the first time occasion that a women’s division championship changed hands in Saudi Arabia and thus Kai and SKY made history. With the win, Kai and SKY also became the fourth pair to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships twice after Sasha Banks-Bayley, Alexa Bliss-Nikki Cross, and Asuka-Kairi Sane.
