In time for Crown Jewel 2023, Roman Reigns returned on WWE Smackdown, last week to enter a fresh feud. As expected, the newly begun program on the blue brand has now set up a massive matchup which eventually ended up becoming the main event of the upcoming show.
Heading into this week’s WWE Smackdown, WWE officially announced Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship as the main event of the Crown Jewel 2023 premium live event scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia on November 4.

Following his summer hiatus, Roman Reigns returned to the WWE by attending the Smackdown season premiere where he confronted John Cena and reminded that he’s the Greatest of All Time. LA Knight came out to mention that he’s become the fastest-rising superstar on Smackdown during his absence.

Later that night, LA Knight defeated Solo Sikoa in the main event of Smackdown. Jimmy Uso tried to interfere, but John Cena came out and took out Jimmy with an Attitude Adjustment. LA took advantage of the distraction and hit the BFT finisher for the win after which Roman invaded the scene to attack LA with a Spear. With that, the upcoming match at Crown Jewel 2023 seemed evident to be made, official.
Another title match was revealed for Crown Jewel 2023 on Smackdown which will be contested for the United States Championship. Logan Paul challenged the reigning champion Rey Mysterio right after he beat Dillon Danis in Manchester. The Maverick wasted no time in coming back to Smackdown to set the record straight about competing against the Masked Luchador.
Boasting a previous win against Rey, Logan aimed multiple verbal shots at him on Smackdown appearance. The natural heel sounded pretty confident about becoming the mid-card champion from the blue brand. Meanwhile, his addition to the match card stacked things up for the Saudi Arabia show.
