Damian Priest has been pretty impressive on the main roster in WWE so far. He was given his big break during the Royal Rumble match of this year in the Royal Rumble PPV event. His performance was quite impressive.
He made his main roster debut as a babyface and teamed up with the Puerto Rican rapper, singer, and songwriter Bad Bunny. At WrestleMania 37 he teamed up with Bad Bunny to take on The Miz and John Morrison in a tag team action.
Damian Priest Says That Triple H Told Him That He Is In The Royal Rumble Match
His team came out victorious in that match and Damian Priest was quite impressive in his first WrestleMania performance.
After WrestleMania 37 Priest continued his feud with the Miz and he has now been given an opportunity to face the Miz at WrestleMania Backlash this week on pay-per-view. This is a very good start of his career we must say. From his recent performance is it looks like he has a bright future in professional wrestling.
Recently Priest spoke to Sporting News Australia where he revealed that it was Triple H himself to told him that he would be participating in the Royal Rumble match. He said;
“We’re in the WWE, so we know switching brands is a given and that’s gonna happen to just about everyone at some point. When it happens, this is Raw or this is SmackDown, these are the programs since I was a kid that I’ve been watching. The Royal Rumble is my favorite pay-per-view of the year – it’s most people’s just because the thrill of who’s next, and the buzzer and the music.
“It’s so exciting and then it’s the road to WrestleMania. It was really cool when he told me that, and then to actually be in the Royal Rumble and the countdown and my music hitting – it was what I wanted. The feeling I had was exactly what it should have been, and I was extremely happy to have had that moment.”
