Brie Bella is a WWE Hall of Famer on her own rights alongside her sister Nikki Bella. The two have been inducted to the most prestigious club present in the sports entertainment business, earlier this year. By all means, these two are WWE-lifers and they won’t leave the company’s banner at any cost. This situation didn’t obviously play a factor in Daniel Bryan joining AEW.
Earlier this year, Daniel Bryan’s contract situation with the WWE was a matter of discussion once Wrestlemania 37 was over. Since he didn’t want to extend his deal, many speculated that he was willing to perform outside the company. On a contrary note, the rumor mill also suggested that Brie Bella is a WWE lifer which could be the reason that Bryan may decide to stay with the Vince McMahon-owned brand, after all.

While speaking on the Sippin’ the Tea show with Ariane Andrew, Brie Bella talked about Daniel Bryan being in a conflicted position, earlier this year as to whether he should have stayed in WWE or joined AEW. The younger Bella made it clear that she didn’t want to help her husband in the situation on making a decision as she wanted him to make it himself and try not to force anything on him.

“You’re 40 years old, this is probably going to be your last run. So you have to just let your heart tell you where to go.’ I’m like, ‘Just because I’m with WWE, doesn’t mean you have to be there,’ because I don’t know if I’ll make a comeback. To be honest, I told Nicole, maybe in a year or so. But like right now, my life — we’re so busy with our companies and the kids, like taking Birdie to school. Unlike the other former WWE Superstars who are currently performing under the AEW banner, Daniel Bryan has never bashed WWE for their creative disputes. He has always made it clear that WWE is and will be the reason that he received his identity in global wrestling. The fact that Brie Bella is with the WWE, might have also insisted him on doing so.
The now Bryan Danielson cut a promo to the AEW audience following his debut appearance, where he made it clear that he chose to come to AEW because he simply loved professional wrestling and wanted to offer something new to wrestling. He also made it clear that his wife Brie Bella won’t join her in AEW since she has close ties with WWE.
