Did Shane McMahon Botch The Elbow On AJ Styles? 1

This week on Smackdown’s main event segment, Shane McMahon entered the ring and called out AJ Styles. AJ came out and asked to bury the hatchet. Shane attacked AJ as soon as he entered the ring which was a kind of surprise, and it was cool too. At the end of the segment, Shane McMahon put AJ threw the announce table when he jumped from the top rope to hit a flying elbow. It looked really amazing. It is surprising that he did such a risky maneuver just two weeks before WrestleMania. He could hurt himself.

However, it looked like Shane McMahon missed the elbow on AJ Styles by a small distance and he landed straight onto the announce table. But AJ Styles sold the move so good that you would not understand the botch if you do not check it carefully. This is the reason why AJ Styles is one of the best wrestlers in the whole world.

But we do not think this is enough reason to criticize Shane McMahon. Mistakes do happen, even the faces of WWE then and now made botches, John Cena botched many times and who can forget Brock Lesnar’s moonsault botch from WrestleMania XIX?

If you are an older fan you would never forget Shane McMahon’s street fight against Kurt Angle from King of the Ring 2001, and two amazing matches of Shane McMahon against Kane from Unforgiven (Last Man Standing match) and Survivor Series (Ambulance match), both events were from 2003. His matches have always been so underrated, especially his last man standing match with Kane. He jumped from on top of the pyro screen in that match which was really a scary maneuver. And who can forget his fall at Summerslam 2000 against Steve Blackman?

A botch before the real event is not a big deal. Shane McMahon is a great entertainer and since he is going into the ring with the ‘phenomenal one’, he can definitely get the best of him. So we are hoping to get the best out of this match.
