WWE RAW star and the former WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion Dominik Mysterio who is also the son of the legendary professional wrestler Rey Mysterio recently looked back at the beating he received from Brock Lesnar back in 2019 and said that he is still gets nightmares because of it.
The incident took place on September 30, 2019. Brock Lesnar was having a feud with Rey Mysterio. During the episode of Monday Night RAW on the mentioned date, Lesnar confronted Rey and directly attacked him with an F5. Dominik Mysterio was sitting on the crowd during this confrontation on Monday Night RAW.
Dominik Mysterio Says The Beating From Brock Lesnar In 2019 In Still Haunts Him
Brock Lesnar pulled him out from the crowd and started beating him down. During that time Dominik was not a wrestler so it was quite shocking and disturbing to see him getting beaten down in such a way. The fans in that crowd was in utter shock. Lesnar kept on beating down both father and son.
The incident is not very much talked about these days but during that time was a shocking moment to get to see Dominik getting pulled out from the crowd and getting beaten down. Soon, Dominik joined WWE as a wrestler and currently he is very much active. He is doing quite good and we hope he has a great future in WWE.
Dominik Mysterio who is also the son of the legendary professional wrestler Rey Mysterio recently spoke to Quetzalli Bulnes in WWE Español Show, “El Brunch” where he looked back at the beating he received from Brock Lesnar back in 2019 and said that he is still gets nightmares because of it. He said;
“I didn’t even wrestle him, it was just a small interaction, but the most difficult challenge I’ve had was with Brock Lesnar. That was my sort of debut because he pulled from the crowd and gave me a beating that, sometimes, I still have nightmares from what happened, if I’m being honest.
“It was something very intense and I was fearful because he is a beast, a monster. He came from out of nowhere and said “alright, let’s go”. I did not know what was going to happen or how it was going to happen. He just looked at me, got out of the ring, he pulled me from the crowd and that’s how it happened.”
“I don’t think I’ll ever be ready for a match against Brock Lesnar, but I am a Mysterio and I never say no. I may not be ready, but prefer to get in the ring with him compared to getting an ass-whooping from him, I prefer getting in the ring.”
