Former two times WWE World Champion Drew McIntyre who is also a former WWE Intercontinental Champion and a former WWE NXT champion recently responded to the criticism on his WrestleMania 38 opponent. He is going to face Happy Corbin at WrestleMania 38.
The feud between Drew McIntyre and Happy Corbin started from the Day 1 pay per view event at January 1 of this year. Corbin and partner Moss attacked McIntyre brutally at the backstage which would have potentially killed his career. That was the official beginning of this feud.
Drew McIntyre Comments On His WrestleMania 38 Opponent
McIntyre made his return after nearly a month at the Royal Rumble pay per view event during the Royal Rumble match. He eliminated both Corbin and Moss from the match. The feud did not end here, in fact, it kept on going. The duo remained arch enemies of each other.
At the Elimination Chamber pay per view event, McIntyre faced Madcap Moss where not only he defeated Moss but completely humiliated him. But he could not get his hands on Corbin which would finally be able to get at WrestleMania 38 as the match between the duo has been booked.
It might not look very interesting for an event like WrestleMania 38 but this is one of the matches of the night that fans would definitely look forward to since it is one of the fewest matches of event that is following a decent storyline, something that is very rare nowadays. There is nothing much to criticise about this match.
Drew McIntyre who is also a former WWE Intercontinental Champion and a former WWE NXT champion recently spoke on his Twitter where he responded to the criticism on his WrestleMania 38 opponent. He is going to face Happy Corbin at WrestleMania 38. He said;
“I’ve seen your responses and I appreciate the support. I’m in this industry to win titles and be in marquee fights, my time will come again. Corbin is a hell of a competitor, however he’s proved to be about as smart as he is funny picking a fight with me,”
“Here we are, Dallas, Texas. Hot, hot, hot. Dallas, TX, is hot. I shouldn’t’ve wore this outfit, but it’s not just hot because the weather all year around here, it’s hot because we’re about 30 days out from WrestleMania,” McIntyre said. “The temperature is jacking up, and to jack it up even more, what did we just find out? Oh, WrestleMania Saturday, it’s just McIntyre vs. Corbin, that’s right.
“I just read about it on the internet like everybody else, about 10 minutes ago, but that’s OK, that’s the match I wanted. I thought I was going to have to, you know, jump through some hoops, play some games, cut some deals under the table, pass some money to some people, but the match is official. That means Corbin is going to be worrying about this match from now until ‘Mania.”
