The former two-times WWE champion Drew McIntyre is definitely the face of Monday Night Raw. Since his Royal Rumble win last year, WWE is trying to build him as the new face of the main brand of the company. And they are pretty much successful in doing so. He is not only the face of WWE Raw but one of the main wrestlers of the show as well.

Ever since Drew McIntyre returned to WWE in 2017, everybody knew he has been brought back so that Vince McMahon can finally do what he wanted to do all back in 2010. However, a lot of pundits and fans suspected that he might not get the treatment he actually deserves because of WWE’s terrible record of burying big talents. But doubters have been proven wrong when he won the Royal Rumble match last year and when he defeated Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36, there was no doubt that Drew McIntyre was the new face of Monday Night Raw.

Drew McIntyre Is The Face Of Raw – How Good Is He?

It was really very sad that such a historic moment could not take place in a crowd-filled arena. The Corona pandemic ruined the whole situation for him, for the company, and of course for the fans. Fans feared this might affect his push and confidence. But he proved everyone wrong by remaining the constant face of Monday Night Raw for over a year.

During this amazing run, Drew McIntyre dropped the title two times. On the first occasion, he successfully captured back the title, and on the second run, he dropped the title to the Miz at the previous pay-per-view event WWE Elimination Chamber. He successfully defended his title inside the Elimination Chamber and after that, The Miz cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and pinned him to become the WWE champion. However, Miz dropped the title to Bobby Lashley recently, and Lashley will defend the title against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 37.

It was pretty ironic that this cash-in was very similar to the first-ever Money in the Bank cash-in way back in 2006. John Cena won the Elimination Chamber of that year in the New Year’s Resolution pay-per-view and Edge; the first-ever Money in the Bank match winner cashed to earn his first WWE championship.

This was the first time in fifteen years that a Money in the Bank cash-in occurred after an Elimination Chamber match. Maybe it is too early to say, but we might be seeing the new ‘John Cena’ Drew McIntyre might not be as popular as John Cena was but he has all the charisma to lead the whole company and become the main face of WWE.
