Former two times WWE World champion Drew McIntyre who is also a former two times WWE Tag Team Champion recently talked about his switch to Friday Night Smackdown. He talked about it before the draft took place and he talked about the possibilities and the possible outcomes.
Drew McIntyre started his WWE career as a member of the Friday Night Smackdown roster. WWE had high hopes from the Scottish professional wrestler and he started an undefeated streak on Smackdown. The undefeated streak continued for a while before it was finally broken by WWE Hall of Famer Kane. Later WWE understood that he was not ready for the main event push yet as he was released on 2014.

Drew McIntyre Speaks On Switching To Smackdown
He spent three years on the independent circuit and other professional wrestling promotions before returning to WWE once again in 2017. Since his return, full potential was seen on Monday Night RAW only. This is his first switch to SmackDown since returning to the WWE. This can be an amazing switch if booked well.
It looks like Drew McIntyre would go on as a babyface in SmackDown since all the big name in the Friday night show are heels. From Seth Rollins to WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns, all of them are heel. Hopefully we would a full-length feud between Roman Reigns and Drew soon.

Drew McIntyre who is also a former two times WWE Tag Team Champion recently spoke on Table Talk where he talked about his switch to Friday Night Smackdown. He talked about it before the draft took place and he talked about the possibilities and the possible outcomes. He said;
“Since I returned to WWE, obviously I started with NXT, but I came back to Raw in 2018 and we’ve been through a few drafts since then and Raw has become my home. I can’t imagine not being on Raw, but at the same time, a change of scenery, a fresh environment, a fresh start, a fresh coat of paint is not necessarily a bad thing.

“I’m honestly torn and just like everyone else, I’m going to find out on the night. I’m sure everything thinks (they know), I don’t know. I honestly don’t know right now what’s going to happen. We saw on Raw on Monday, I came out and made my intentions known that I’m coming back for the WWE Championship now that Lashley is no longer WWE Champion, I can contend for it.
“It might also be a waste of my time if I get drafted on Friday. If that’s the case, I’m going straight for Roman and the Universal Championship because my eyes is always on the top prize.”
