On September 3, Drew McIntyre will finally get the chance to headline a pay-per-view event in his native land of the UK. WWE will host their Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event from the Principality Stadium, in Cardiff, Wales. This show is going to be the WWE’s biggest stadium event in the United Kingdom in over three decades.
The last major event in Britain was Summerslam 1992 from London, England at the Wembley Stadium. Now, WWE Clash at the Castle will be main-evented by Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns defending his championship against Drew McIntyre. The challenger earned the title match opportunity by defeating Sheamus on the go-home SmackDown edition for Summerslam 2022 to go one step further to fulfill his dreams.
Wrestlemania 39: Latest News On WWE’s Plan For Main Event Match
Since his return to the WWE in 2017, Drew McIntyre got himself elevated to the top tier of the WWE roster. After winning the NXT Championship, he also eventually go on to become the WWE Champion twice. But he never got the chance to win the gold in front of the WWE Universe.
Drew McIntyre gearing up for a grand appearance at Clash at the Castle
Now, Drew McIntyre finally gets that opportunity at Clash at the Castle where he could also bring back his old theme song. During his first run in WWE, he was the Chosen One whose best achievement was to win the Intercontinental Championship. Down the road, he got downgraded to becoming a member of 3MB. Some of the fans may remember that he was using the previous theme song called ‘Broken Dreams.’
If previous reports are to be believed then Drew McIntyre was trying hard to get his ‘Broken Dreams’ theme song back in WWE. Now, he took to Twitter and posted a photo of the official poster for the Clash At The Castle event. The caption of the photo was rather interesting as it had the lyrics of ‘Broken Dreams,’
“Out of time, so say goodbye #WWECastle”

Previously on Twitter, Drew McIntyre had also promised that he has been working on doing something extra special during Clash at the Castle and this led to the speculation that he might be indicating to use his old theme song with new graphics. Apparently, his wife is also helping him out in this prep-up.
We will have to wait and see whether The Scottish Warrior brings back the song for a one-off appearance or keep on using it on TV down the road. Regardless of what he does, chances seem high that he’s going to be the one to end the historical 700+ day reign of Roman Reigns.
