Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Edge who is a former eleven times WWE World Champion recently talked about his retirement in 2011 and revealed why he stopped wrestling since.
Edge was forced to take retirement from Professional wrestling back in 2011 after he picked up a career threatening injury. He was the World Heavyweight champion during that time and he was forced to vacate the Championship. It was heartbreaking for all the professional wrestling fans.

But he accomplished The Impossible as he made his return to professional wrestling in 2020 as a surprize entrant in the Royal Rumble match. It shocked the entire world. Since then he is working in WWE almost on a regular basis.
He already had a number of big Matches and he has proved that he is still capable of giving big matches. He had a couple of clashes with his former kayfabe best friend Randy Orton and they were quite entertaining. Last year he even won the Royal Rumble match by entering number 1.
He also main evented WrestleMania 37 along with Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns in a triple threat match and it was scheduled for the Universal Heavyweight Championship. Even though he lost the match, he returned to ask for his rematch a number of months after. WWE constantly treated him as a main event star since his return.

Recently he made his mind clear that he does not want to go for any world championships anymore. So it is possible that we would rather see him working him on non title feuds just like his mixed tag team match from the Royal Rumble pay per view event. He is still capable of giving big matches.
Edge who is a former eleven times WWE World Champion recently spoke to WTOP where he talked about his retirement in 2011 and revealed why he stopped wrestling since. He said;

“For a while, I didn’t watch, period. That was my mourning period.
“It was still difficult, but it would have been a very emotional roller coaster if I didn’t understand that was it. I had to come to terms with it. Luckily, acting fell into my lap, so I was able to dive into another creative outlet. I think if I didn’t have that, it would have been a far different decade for me.
“Even when I got the OK to come back, we never assumed that we would interact on screen,”
