WWE Legend Edge has been a top attraction on Monday Night Raw for the past several months. He was chosen as one of the top seeds for the red brand during last year’s Draft and since then the veteran has gifted us with some mesmerizing moments as a part-time superstar.
One of the reasons that Edge can’t continue as a regular superstar is that he also has mainstream fame as he acts in movies and TV series. The latest stint for him was revealed by Variety and also WWE. The WWE Hall of Famer is set to star in the Disney+ series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” which is expected to release in 2024.

The report reveals that Edge will appear in the web series as Ares, the God of War. Disney+ described the character as “handsome in a wicked way and arrogant, despite not always being the sharpest tool in the shed. He loves conflict and acts as an agent of chaos wherever he goes.”

Edge has quite a successful career in Film and TV Industry
“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is being scripted through the popular young adult novels by Rick Riordan which revolves around the adventures of a 12-year-old modern demigod. The sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt when the young man and two of his friends embark on a journey to find the lightning bolt and return it to Zeus.
In addition to Edge, going by his real name of Adam Copeland, the series will have a guest star line-up that includes Glynn Turman, Jason Mantzoukas, and Megan Mullally. Production is currently underway in Vancouver for the eight-episode first season.
For those who don’t know, Edge has quite the history in Hollywood in both movie and TV endeavors in the past. After retiring from the competition, he enjoyed a lengthy run in the industry by featuring “Bending the Rules” (2012), “Interrogation” (2016), and “Money Plane” (2020). Besides this, the Rated-R Superstar has also been featured in television series like “Haven” “Vikings” and “Canada Reads.”
After being forced to retire from professional wrestling in 2011, Edge was turned into an actor in an attempt to try something new in his career and he found success, down the road. The eleven-time world champion returned to the ring in 2020 but he continued with his movie stint, at the same time.
